PUNE: A woman in Pune allegedly ended her life after she had an argument with her husband over dinner. Reportedly, the woman fought with her husband on Friday after he bought 'pani puri' for dinner even as she had cooked food. The couple slept without having dinner and the next day, the woman allegedly attempted suicide.
She was rushed to a hospital at around 1 pm and breathed her last on Sunday, while treatment was being administered to her. The woman got married to Ghahininath Ambadas Saravade on February 1, 2019, and they have an 18-year-old son.
Couple had constant arguments
Initially, the accused used to live in Solapur but later moved to Pune. In Solapur, the couple used to have constant arguments as the woman wanted Saravade to get a job in Pune and move there. While the arguments ended after the couple moved to Pune, domestic fights continued.
On Friday, the woman had a fight over dinner and the next day, she attempted to end her own life. She was declared dead on Sunday, while she was undergoing treatment at a hospital, Hindustan Times reported.
The incident came to light when the woman's father - Prakash Pise - approached the police and lodged a complaint. Pise told the cops that the accused used to assault the woman. Based on Pise's allegations, the police booked the accused under section 306 (abetment to suicide), 498 (A) (domestic violence), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (insult with an intention of provoking breach of peace) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
